To make something good, you have to make it yourself

It’s a lesson we learned early on. The year was 1990, and wholesome, tasty, allergen-free foods were practically nowhere to be found. After one too many fruitless searches, we decided we had to take matters into our own hands – and make them ourselves instead.

So we got to work and never looked back. From our headquarters in Melbourne, we made it our mission to not only make delicious and healthy food, but to lead the ‘free from’ food movement in Australia. We helped to establish health sections in Australian supermarkets and adopted the most stringent allergen testing practices in the country. Because why bother doing something if you’re not going to do it right…right?

The house that ‘free from’ built

As more and more Australians got on board the feel-good food movement in the 2000s, we needed a bigger home. But it couldn’t be just any home. We wanted to build the very best allergen-free home in the region.

And so in 2009, we moved our headquarters to Sydney and opened the doors to our dedicated ‘free from’ factory in Stanbridge (in the beautiful New South Wales Riverina). It’s one of just a few factories around the world that is ‘free from’ wheat, rye, barley, triticale and nuts. How can we guarantee that? With incredible standards and attention to detail. We’ve made it to the USA

Thanks to requests from hungry consumers like yourselves, we heard the need for delicious, high-quality, allergen-free products in the USA and knew that Freedom Foods would fit the bill. We made our first shipments in 2013 and frankly, we have been overwhelmed by the positive response to our products.

We are now proud to have a dedicated team of outstanding sales and marketing staff based in the USA, an extensive network of amazing retailers nationwide and an even bigger group of loyal consumers who enjoy our products every day. We attend over 20 expos each year and hope that you’ll come and say hello!

We’ll never stop making food better

We set the highest possible standards for ourselves because we know this is what you expect and deserve from us. We always try to stay down-to-earth in our attitude and remain true to being all about tasty food that’s free from key allergens like gluten, wheat, dairy, nuts, egg, soy, sesame and GMO’s. With a state-of-the-art factory and more than 20 products, we could stop here – but we won’t. Food can always be better, so we’ll always be looking for ways to make it better.
